The most powerful and the most efficient USB stick miner in the world - now available in Australia and New Zealand!

SUMMARY

  • Capable of mining any SHA-256 coin, including Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Bitcoin Satoshi Version (BSV), DigiByte (DGB), Litecoin Cash (LCC), and many other SHA-256 mineable coins.
  • Perfect for solo mining Bitcoin - your chance to win ~6.25 BTC every ~10 minutes.
  • Equipped with a 7nm BM1397 ASIC - the same chip used in Bitmain’s Antminer S17 and S17 Pro.
  • Equipped with an aluminium heatsink; however, requires active cooling, especially when attempting to overclock.
  • Dual LEDs display power (red) and activity (blinking white).
  • Recommended CGminer software is compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux OS.
  • Manufactured in the USA - ships locally from Melbourne in Australia or Nelson in New Zealand.

PERFORMANCE

  • ~200GH / ~400 MHz stock hashrate which can be overclocked to ~500GH / ~800MHz - we recommend running at 400 MHz.
  • The typical power consumption is ~0.037 W / GHz
  • Up to 5 times more powerful than the previous GekkoScience NewPac miner.

SETUP

  1. Plug the COMPAC-F into a powered USB hub - we recommend (and only support) the GekkoScience High-Powered USB Hub
  2. Plug powered USB hub into any PC, Mac, or linux machine - we recommend using a Raspberry Pi running Ubuntu Linux
  3. Use a fan for active cooling directed at the heat sink - we recommend our USB Desktop Fan
  4. Install CGminer and configure mining pool - we recommend solo-mining on KanoPool
  5. Run CGminer - see instructions on Kano's website for recommended command parameters

    SOFTWARE

    • We recommend only using CGminer from Kano which is a command-line miner that is custom-modified to include GekkoScience drivers and allows you to adjust the operating frequency parameters which in turn adjusts the hashrate.

    DISCLAIMER

The number one reason why people are unable to get their GekkoScience COMPAC-F USB Stick Miners to work, or not work well, is because they are not plugged into a USB hub that delivers enough power power port.

For this reason, we only support GekkoScience COMPAC F USB stick miners that are connected to the GekkoScience Hub.

You are free to try and use other powered USB hubs; however, we cannot guarantee it will work, or work well (most hubs deliver less than 2.1A per port), and we cannot accept returns if they do not work with your hub.

Bottom line... if you want to start mining with the GekkoScience COMPAC F USB Stick Miners, then you'll want to get the GekkoScience Hub as well.

    • Power
      • This device requires a powered USB hub that can supply at least 2A / 10W per port - (we recommend the GekkoScience High-Powered Hub).
      • It will likely not work if simply plugged in to a standard USB port, e.g. PC, Mac or Raspberry Pi, or plugged into cheap USB hubs (powered or non-powered) as they rarely supply enough power.
      • Overclocking (especially above above 545 GH) will require a very high-powered USB hub that can deliver 3A per port.
    • Cooling
      • They require active cooling, e.g. desktop fan(s), usb fan(s), etc. - we recommend using one or more of our USB desktop fans.
      • The aluminium heatsink will get very hot (especially when attempting to overclock above 400 MHz).
      • If not sufficiently cooled, the device may fail due to “thermal runaway” - we do not replace units that have failed due to thermal runaway.
    • Setup
      • These devices are NOT plug n’ play - they are intended for hobbyists, tweakers, and hardware hackers, as they will require some technical knowledge to install, configure, and support.
